Finding one's True North: To find or proceed on the correct course or in the right direction
A compass is an important navigational tool. It helps you find your way when you are not sure whether you are headed in the right direction. It inspired the name of our company, and consequently, its logo.
Using data to make informed decisions to keep your company or organization on the right course, or to steer it in a new direction, can be valuable. But how do you know you're collecting the right data? And how do you know what to do with it once you've got it? Data collection and analysis can be confusing and time consuming.
We're here to help you with that, whether you want to do it yourself but are looking for some tips on how to do it well, or whether you want to have someone do it for you. Either way, you want to work with someone you can trust, with years of experience doing evaluation research and providing data stories that help you decide whether to stay the course or make some adjustments.
Here’s what we offer
Nonprofits and small businesses can rely on us for evaluation research advice that helps them move forward or in a new direction.
We can advise on research methods, grants, project evaluation and data analysis (qualitative or quantitative).
Have you downsized or restructured and need help discerning the new path?
We can design and carry out a research project to help you find your way. We will collect and analyze the data and produce an attractive, useful report to guide your decision making.
We are here to help nonprofits and small businesses build capacity and competency to write winning grant proposals, plan new programs or events with evaluation in mind, and design and run effective evaluations.
"Compass Consulting and Research helped my company analyze interview data we had already collected and helped us meet a deadline on two of our projects."
